Moral, Money, Motherhood: How substitute motherhood affects women's rights

On Monday 31st March a screening of the film Breeders, a subclass of women? will take place at the European Parliament. The film addresses the issue of substitute motherhood.

Celebratory conference

at the European Economic and Social Committee
in Brussels, 15 May 2014

2014 is the 20th Anniversary of the International Year of the Family! On 15 May, the International Day of the Family, we have the pleasure to invite you to celebrate this anniversary at the European Economic and Social Committee!

The half day celebratory conference will include key note speakers, representatives from the European Economic and Social Committee, NGOs all delivering a message for the future of the family, for the 20 years ahead!

The celebratory conference will close the 61st annual conference of the International Commission on Couple and Family Relations that takes place in Brussels this year. To find regsiter for this conference and or the celebration event on 15 May, please visit the ICCFR website.

Conference on Human Trafficking and Family Values, Bucharest 2nd April 2014

FAFCE has the pleasure together with the European Christian Political Movement (ECPM), the Group for Combating Trafficking in Persons of the Parliament of Romania, and the Ecumenical Prayer Group of the Romanian Parliament to host a conference on Family Values and Human Trafficking in the Romanian Parliament in Bucharest, Romania, on April 2nd, 2014.

The aim of this one day conference is to discuss the importance of marriagefor the postmodern society. Experts from Croatia, Slovenia, France, Hungary, The Netherlands and the United Kingdom will share their views on how and why the family should be supported in the 21st century. The family is also important for the prevention of human trafficking which is a growing problem across Europe today. The conference will also address this issue and seek to identify solutions that truly respect the dignity of each person.
