Lithuanian Family Center (LFC)
The Movement “Family Centre of Lithuania” (LFC) has been founded by the Lithuanian Bishops’ Conference. The mission of this network organization is the development and support of families on the basis of the principles of the Catholic social ethics. The main activities of the LFC are: the coordination of the activities of the 55 diocesan family centres in the field of:
– Preparation of the youth for family life;
– Sacramental marriage: the preparation of engaged couples;
– The development of family support and community programs;
– Training of the staff and volunteers for family centres;
– Development of didactic material;
– Advocating family interests;
– Encouragement for social activities;
– Fund raising for the maintenance of the family centres.
